Mayor Wooldridge offers the following Resolution:Whereas, it appears from the attached statement of Joseph Shuber that his sanitary sewer lateral at the corner of Sixteenth and Lavaca Streets in this City was damaged by reason of the settlement thereon of a large Storm sewer, the property of the City of Austin, without any fault on his part; AndJoseph Whereas, the said Joseph Shuber had to spend the sum Damage of ($2.50) for the repairs of the Sanitary sewer at Sewer said corner of Sixteenth and Lavaca Streets, and was otherwise greatly incommoded; Now therefore, Be it resolved by the City Council of Austin, Texas That in compensation to the said Joseph Shuber for said loss and damage, and upon the recommendation of Hon. O. N. Powell, Superintendent of Streets and Public Improvements of the City of Austin, Texas, the Sanitary Sewer rentals due by the said Joseph Shuber upon the premises herein below described, for the period from December 1st, 1915, to December 1st, 1916, and amounting to $26.25, are hereby accepted in full, and the Cashier of the Sanitary Sewer Department of the City of Austin, Texas, is hereby instructed to enter credit upon his books accordingly.

Mayor Wooldridge called up the resolution introduced at the last regular meeting, June 8, 1916, of the City Council, accepting the proposals bearing date May 20, 1916, and June 2, 1916, and signed by Bolger, Mosser and Willaman by T. J. Grace, their agent, concerning the purchase of $1,170,000.00 of Austin Refunding Bonds, which resolution has heretofore been spread at length on the minutes of said meeting.

Councilman Powell offered the following resolution: Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas! That the sum of $35.34 be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the Permanent Street Improvement Fund of this City to pay for the paving of the alley between Tenth & Eleventh Streets and Colorado Street in this City. Mayor Wooldridge offered the following - Resolution Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas! That the balance of the Fines & Costs, amounting to $13.60 in causes No 10304, State of Texas, vs Pat Johnson for disturbing the Peace, in the Corporation Court of the City of Austin, Texas, be and the same is here by remitted. The original fine and Costs in this Case amounted to $54.60. This young man has worked out by working on the streets the sum of $41.00, leaving a balance due of $13.60 The Resolution was adopted by the following vote:Mayor Wooldridge.
