Councilman Powell offered the following resolution: Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin,Texas: That the following specifications be, and the same are hereby adopted for the Paving - Specifications for Repair of Openings. repairing of openings made,MXXXXXXXXXXXXXMX in the paved streets within the limits of the City of Austin,Texas: " In order to secure a proper bond and to prevent settlement, when finally restoring the pavement ,remove the concrete base from a space which extends at least 6 inches beyond all sides of the maximum area of earth disturbed so as to provide a firm bearing for the new concrete on the earther the undisturbed margin of the trench,concrete to be bevelled at least 3 inches outward at the top,and the wearing surface of the pavement will be replaced over an area extending at least 3 inches on all sides beyond the area of the new concrete".
