Regular meeting The Council was called to order by Councilman Powell, Mayor pro tem.Roll called: Present Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Absent Mayor Wooldridge 1 The minutes of the last regular and subsequent recessed meetings were read and adopted: Reports of City Officers: The Chair laid before the Council the report of the City Marshal for the month of June, and that of the Supt of the water & light plant for the month of May,both of which were read and ordered filed: The following applications for licenses as drivers of service cars were presented, Jesse Roby, 1138 Alamo street Jas Blackburn, 1004 Juniper street B J Lee. Elgin, Texas. The applications were granted by the following vote; Yeas Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Nays none: On application the pound fee paid be McCoy ,was remitted, except$ 5.00, The Chair laid before the Council a communication from the members of the Advisory Committee of the City Hospital ,approving recommendations of Dr S A Woolsey for repairs to the Old Hospital building,which was read and referred to theMayor and Councilman Anthony. On motion Arthur Quist was allowed 30 days additional time in which to connect with the City Sewer. Application of Jno Schmidley for license as dealer in milk products,was granted by the following vote: Yeas Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Nays none: Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin,Texas: That the un-appropriated balance of the sanitary sewer fund the sum of $ 50.00, is hereby appropriated for incidentals. The resolution was adopted by the following vote: Yeas Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Nays none. Approved, P W Powell, Mayor pro tem.
