Sewer Fund Financial Management:
The city adjusted its financial policies to ensure all interest earned on the Sanitary Sewer Fund's daily balances would be directly credited to that fund, especially as its bond money was depleted.Correcting Fund Allocation:
A financial error was rectified by transferring $204.28 in previously misallocated interest earnings from another account back into the Sanitary Sewer Fund.City Appointments & Early Licenses:
The council confirmed the appointment of two "Hosemen" (firefighters) for city service and granted a driver's license.

Repotrs of City Officers: Reports Cont. sig. clk. Dept bm W & L dept The Mayor laid before the Council the repot rts of the Asst City Clerk, the Sexton for Sept 1917, and that of the Supt of the Water & Light Dept for the menth of. ugust 1917, which were read ans ordered filed. The Mayor laid before the Council a report from the Board of Equalization ,which was read and ordered filed. Application of David Harrold for drivers license was presented and license granted by the following vote: Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Tel Reeves George Loveless elected Hoseman Nays none. Councilman Anthony nominated Tel Reeves and Geo Loveless to be Hosemen ,which nominations were confirmed by the following vote: Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Not voting Councilman Anthony 1 Ootober 19th 1917: Bartholomew absent:
Mayor Wooldridge offered the following resolution : Int. on D. bal. on sewer fund Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That whereas the bond money of the Sanitary sewer fund being exhausted, the City Treasurer be and is hereby instructed from this daye to place all interest on daily balances of the Sanitary sewer fund to the credit of said fund instead of to the credit of the Interest and sinking fund as heretofore. The resolution was adopted by the following vote: Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Haynes & Powell 4 Absent Councilman Bartholomew 1 Approved, A P Wooldridge, Mayor. Ootober 24th 1917:
Mayor Wooldridge offered the following resolution : Whereas, on March 1st of the present yearthe money derived from the sale of Sanitary sewer bonds was exhausted; and Whereas, all monies placed to the credit of the Sanitary sewer fund since that date arose Bal. from fund to Sa- sewer fund from other than the proceeds from the sale of bonds, but Whereas the interest paid by the bank depository on said funds arising from the credits of the sanitary sewer fund ,through error, having continued to be placed to the credit of the Interest and Sinking fund instead of the sanitary sewer fund; and Whereas ,said interest from March 1 st to Ootober 1st,1917,amounted to the sum of two hundred and four dollars and twenty eight cents ($ 204.28) Now therefore, Bal. from fund to Sa- sewer fund Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas : That the sum of two hundred and four dollars and twenty eight cents ($ 204.28) be and the same is hereby transferred from the Interest and Sinking fund to the sanitary sewer fund, and the City Treasurer and the book-keeper of the sanitary sewer fund be and they are hereby instructed to make entries upon their books in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
