7 Regular meeting of the City Council: Austin, Tex s, Nove 29th 1918: Present Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell: A bsent Councilman. nthony 1: This being Thanksgiving Day and a legal Holliday, the Council recessed; November 30th 1917: The Council was called to order by the Mayor, with all members present: The minutes of the last regular and subsequent recessed meetings were read & adopted: The Mayor laid before the Council the report of the Supt of the Water & Light Plant which was read and ordered filed: Jack Lindsay K^m^^ an Councilman nthony nominated Jake Lindsey to be Hoseman, vice J W Hornsby resigned, which nomination was confirmed by the following vote: Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Not voting Councilman nthony 1 Councilman Powell offered the following resolution: Resolved by the City Council of tthe City of Austin, Texas: That Sy Austin's Chapel be and it is hereby authorized to construat a curbing for Dt. Austin's chapel. curb a distance of six inches in within the alley abutting Lot No 46, and the north fifteen feet of Lot NO 45, Block NO 22, Division "D" City of Austin, Texas, The total encroachment allowed by this resolution is to be six (6) inches in width and nealy eighty five feet (85) in length. Mayor Wooldridge offered the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas: 1st.That the sum of five hundred ($ 500.00) dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary,be transferred from the appropriation in the budget for the year 1917,for the Water, Light and Power department,for " Salary of Engineer at the dam ",to the appropriation for "Unloading Fuel ". 2nd. That the sum of two thousand five hundred seventy one dollars and twenty two cents($ 2,571.22) out of the appropriation in said budget for " Leveling Sand Beach" be and the same is hereby transferred to the appropriation for " The purchase of Bonds ". 3rd. That the sum of one thousand ,two hundred ($ 1,200.00) dollars, out of the appropriation in said budget for " Salary of Sanitary Inspector at dam ",and the sum of three hundred($300.00) dollars, out of appropria-tion for " Expenses for said Inspector",the two appropriations aggrega- -ting One thousand five hundred ($1,500.00) dollars ,be and the same is hereby transferred to the appropriation for " Incidentals, etc". 4th. That the sum of five hundred ($ 500.00) out of the appropriation for " Liability Insurance for the year 1916" be transferred to the appropriation for " Printing, Stationery and Postage"

December 4th 1917: All present: Application of J H Maxwell for leave of absence from Dec 10 to 18th ,was presented and leave granted by the following vote: Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell Nays none: Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas: That the sum of three hundred($ 300.00) dollars, be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the Sanitary Sewer fund for the purpose of building a sewer line on east 11th street from a manhole at the intersection of east 11th street with East Avenue to the intersection of Branch street with East 11th street:
