APPROVED, Sept. 5, 1918: A. P. Wooldridge, Mayor. found. The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution: RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That permit No. 66 heretofore granted to Liberty Motor Buss Company for one Nash automobile truck No. 99070 be transferred and made to apply, without payment of extra fee, to Ford truck No. 2744233. The resolution was passed by vote of 5 yeas, no nays. APPROVED, Sept. 5, 1918: A. P. Wooldridge, Mayor. Ord. : John Stoner. The Mayor laid before the Council "An ordinance authorizing, Unit System empowering and instructing the Mayor of the City of Austin to enter into a contract with J. Ben Stoner for the purpose of installing a unit system of ascertainment and equalization of real estate values, for the use of the Tax Assessor and Collector, Board of Equalization and City Council of said city, substantially to the effect and in the terms contained in this ordinance; and making an appropriation." Having been read the first time on August 29, this ordinance was read the second time and laid over. The Council then adjourned. V.S. Mahie City Clerk SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, September 6, 1918. The Council met with all members present except Councilman Anthony. The Mayor offered the following resolution: Appro. for Sewer RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS: Main to Penn That the sum of Eighteen Hundred Dollars ($1,800.00), or so Field much thereof as may prove to be needed, be and the same is hereby transferred out of the General Contingent Fund of this city and appropriated to the Sanitary Sewer Fund, and made available for the purpose of constructing a sanitary sewer main from the end of First or Brackenridge street in South Austin to the city limits, there to connect up with a sewer main to be built by the University of Texas to Penn Field. The resolution was adopted by a vote of 4 yeas, no nays. APPROVED, Sept. 6, 1918: A. P. Wooldridge, Mayor. The Council then adjourned. V.S. Mahie City Clerk
