City Supplies Awards made. D.K. Taylor Suspended from Police force --- Page break --- 112 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS: That the City Council finds the said D. K. Taylor guilty of the charges preferred against him of conduct unbecoming a policeman, but the City Council also finds there are extenuating facts and circumstances in the case explaining and mitigating the conduct of the said D. K. Taylor. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the said D. K. Taylor be and he is hereby adjudged to receive a public reprimand for his conduct in the matter of his altercation with Robert J. Hammond. BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER: That the said D. K. Taylor be and he is hereby suspended from employment and pay for the period of ten days from and after the date of the adoption of this resolution. The resolution was adopted by the following vote: Yeas, Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Bartholomew and Haynes; nays, Councilmen Anthony and Powell. APPROVED, Dec. 27, 1918: A. P. Wooldridge, Mayor. The Council then adjourned. V. A. Smith City Clerk SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, Dec. 31, 1918. The Council met with all members present. Councilman Anthony offered the following resolution: RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS: That the pound fees assessed against A. C. Randle for a horse that got in the city pound be and the same are hereby remitted, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That One Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50) be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the General Contingent Fund of this city to cover said amount so remitted.
