157 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, Feb. 21, 1919. The Council met with all members present. Councilman Anthony offered the following resolution: R.S. Owens P.m. 2/21 [illegible] RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the pound fees, amounting to $3.00, assessed during the present week against R. S. Owens be and the same are hereby remitted; this owing to the fact that he was ill when his cow and calf escaped from their enclosure, and was not to blame for their being at large within the city limits. The resolution was adopted by a vote of 5 yeas, no nays. APPROVED, Feb. 21, 1919: A. P. Wooldridge, Mayor. G. G. Morgan Service Car license The application of G. G. Morgan, 1601 Eva Street, for public service car license on his Ford car No. 181381, was laid before the Council and granted by a vote of 5 yeas, no nays. Austin, Texas, Feb. 22, 1919. The Council met with all members present. The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution: RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS: That Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) be and the same is hereby apA. L. Givens Refund of car license propriated out of the General Contingent Fund of the City of Austin, Texas, and made payable to A. L. Givens as the surrender value of Public Service Car Licenses Nos. 36 and 37, issued to the said A. L. Givens, and said permits Nos. 36 and 37 are hereby cancelled. The resolution was adopted by a vote of 5 yeas, no nays. APPROVED, Feb. 22, 1919: A. P. Wooldridge, Mayor. The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution: RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS: Appropriation tires for Pumper Fire Dept. That the sum of Two Hundred Six Dollars and Twenty-four Cents ($206.24) be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the miscellaneous fund of the Fire Department of the City of Austin, Texas, for the year 1919 and made payable to the American La France Company in payment of three tires and the installation of same upon the pumper of the Fire Department of this city, per the itemized bill for the same presented by Clarence Woodward, Chief of the Fire Department, attached hereto and made the basis of this resolution. The resolution was adopted by a vote of 5 yeas, no nays. APPROVED, Feb. 22, 1919: A. P. Wooldridge, Mayor. The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution: RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS: Appropriation of set Walter Tips That the sum of One Hundred Fifty-eight Dollars ($158.00) be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the General Contingent Fund of the City of Austin, Texas, and made payable to the Walter Tips Company in payment of one 250 W. Motor Generating Set and adjustments, per bill for same attached hereto and made the basis of this resolution. The resolution was passed by a vote of 5 yeas, no nays. APPROVED, Feb. 22, 1919: A. P.
