McLean City Clerk SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, Apr. 4, 1919. The Council met with all members present. There was laid before the Council the following resolution: Whereas, 62x220 feet out of the northwest corner and Mrs. Annie C. McNair : 59¾x220 feet out of the southeast corner of Lot No. 4, Block No. 4, Jas. Annin. Outlot 34/46, Division "O" of the Welch Subdivision of this city reduced are, in the judgment of the City Council, overassessed by comparison with the adjacent similarly situated property by the amount of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) in each instance, or One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) altogether. Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS: That the assessment fixed against said 62x220 feet out of the northwest corner and also the assessment against the said 59¾x220 feet out of the southeast corner of Lot No. 4, Block No. 4, Outlot 34/46, Division "O" of Welch's Subdivision be cancelled as excessive, and the Assessor and Collector is hereby instructed to make credits on the assessment of said special pieces of property in accordance with the terms of this resolution. The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution: RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That One Hundred and Thirty-five Dollars ($135.00) or so much thereof as may prove to be necessary be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the General Contingent Fund of the City of Austin to be paid to the Municipal Nurse at the rate of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) per month to pay for the use of gasoline, lubricating oil and other incidentals in and about her automobile used in the service of the City as Municipal Nurse. The resolution was adopted by a vote of 5 yeas, no nays. APPROVED, Apr. 9, 1919: A. P. Wooldridge, Mayor. Councilman Powell offered the following resolution: Whereas, Messrs. Potts, Moore & Prentice, Contractors for the sewage disposal plant for this City, have been reimbursed for an amount for material, supplies and labor according to contract expended on account of the construction of the sewage disposal plant in the amount of Thirty-five Thousand Forty-five Dollars and Eighty Cents ($35,045.80); and Whereas, said Potts, Moore & Prentice have not been paid any profit fee for and upon their disbursement of said Thirtyfive Thousand Forty-five Dollars and Eighty Cents ($35,045.80). Now, therefore, Appropriation for Municipal Nurses --- Page break --- 189 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS: That the City Engineer be and he is hereby instructed to issue an estimate to the said Potts, Moore & Prentice in the sum of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) for account of their compensation under their contract for the disbursement in behalf of the city in and about said sewage disposal plant in the sum of Thirty-five Thousand Fortyfive Dollars and Eighty Cents ($35,045.80).
