246 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the sum of One Thousand, Five Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($1,550.00) be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the Earnings Fund of said Water, Light and Power Department for the payment of same. The above resolution was adopted by a vote of 5 ayes, no nays. The application of Addie Rysinger to operate a service car was granted by a vote of 5 ayes, no nays. The Council then adjourned. Jas. REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL:
Austin, Texas, July 31, 1919. The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward; absent none. The Minutes of the last meeting were read and adopted. Councilman Graham introduced the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That permission be and the same is hereby granted to Petition of Jno. L. Martin Granted. John L. Martin to construct a catch basin in the alley at the end of building No. 212 West Fourth Street, now occupied by Morris & Company, Packers, said catch basin to be not less than 18" X 18" in diameter, with trap seal not less than 10" and to be covered with an adequate cast iron cover to be of such weight and dimensions as prescribed by the Inspector of Plumbing and approved by the City Engineer, said catch basin so constructed to conform in every detail with the rules and regulations governing plumbing and sewage, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this permit is granted with the understanding that said catch basin is to be at all times maintained and kept clean and in good working order as described in Section 14 of the ordinance regulating the use of sanitary sewers and drains, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this permit is granted and must be accepted as revocable at any time in the pleasure of the City Council. The above resolution was adopted by a vote of 5 ayes, no nays. Councilman Haynes moved that the tax rolls of the City of Austin for the year 1918 and the supplemental rolls for said year be approved. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes, no nays. The application of Roscoe A. Woodard to operate a service car was granted by a vote of 5 ayes, no nays. Petition of W. H. Pittsford, The petition of W. H. Pittsford, et al., presented by W. A. et al for increase of Achilles, was read and taken under advisement. Pay. Motion was made by Councilman Graham that the City Council instruct the City Attorney to notify Mr. Ellison to open natural waterway. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes, no nays. The Council then recessed.
