Councilman Graham moved that Rudolph Luellier be allowed to cut one Rudolph Luellier granted permit partially dead live oak tree out of the street in front of his residence. to cut Tree out Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes, no nays. of street. Mayor Pro Tem REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, August 7, 1919. The Council was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem, H. L. Haynes. Roll call showed all members present, except Mayor Yett. The Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and adopted by a vote of 4 ayes, no nays, Mayor Yett being absent. The following monthly reports were read and ordered filed: Fred Sterzing, Assessor and Collector; D. B. Gracy, City Treasurer; Monthly Reports Dr. S. A. Woolsey, City Health Officer; J. W. Graham, Superintendent Streets and Public Improvements; A. B. Anderson, Public Weigher; Jno. H. Maxwell, Sealer of Weights and Measures; Jno. F. Woody, Fire Marshal. Mayor Pro Tem Haynes introduced the following resolution: Whereas, the Saint Austin's Chapel became the owners of the following described properties before January 1st, 1918, to-wit: 47 feet by 120 feet of the north side of Lot No. 33, Outlot No. 22, Division "D"; 23 feet of the south side of Lot No. 33, and the north 24 feet of Lot No. 34, Outlot No. 22, Division "D"; and Exempting Whereas, the first of said properties is now being used as a chapel Property and the second of said properties is now being used as a school; and from Whereas, said property is now taxed for the year 1918 on the unrentaxation dered rolls and is not now taxable under the law, Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the Assessor and Collector of the City of Austin, Texas, be and he is hereby authorized to cancel the assessment of taxes for said year against said property, and to take credit therefor. The above resolution was adopted by a vote of 4 ayes, no nays; Mayor Yett being absent. Monroe & Patterson The communication of Monroe & Patterson, Atty. for Mrs. J. H. McElroy as to the letter property of Mrs. J. H. McElroy at No. 1912 Speedway, was read and referred re J. H. McElroy 1912 Speedway to the City Attorney. Claim for damages The claim for damages on account of water to property of Mrs. Anna Mrs. Anna Wallin was also referred to the City Attorney. Wallin The Council then adjourned.
