REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL:
Austin, Texas, October 30, 1919. - The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Haynes and Ward; absent, Councilman Graham. The Minutes of the last meetings were read, and upon motion of Councilman Haynes, the same were adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Haynes and Ward; absent. Councilman Graham , nays, none. The petition of Fred Petmecky, asking for remission of fine assessed against him for failing to appear as juror, was read and,upon motion of Councilman Alford,was referred to Judge Houghton Brownlee, Judge of the Corporation Court, by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Haynes and Ward; nays, none - Councilmen Graham absent. Referred to N. A. Ladd Councilman Haynes moved that $12.50 be refunded to N. A. Ladd on with licence account of overpayment of license fees on two service cars, as shown by Overpayment the records of the Assessor and Collector, on October 27, 1919; said amount to be paid out of the General Contingent Fund. Motion carried by a vote of 4 ayes, no nays, Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Haynes and Ward, Councilman Graham absent. Bennie Jefferson The application of Bennie Jefferson to operate a service car was Granted granted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Haynes service car and Ward; nays, none, Councilman Graham absent. Permit The petition of Helen Ruberth for remission of fine imposed upon To Helen her son was read and upon motion of Councilman Haynes, same was declined Rubarth by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Haynes and Ward; nays, none , Councilman Graham absent. Councilman Alford moved that for good and sufficient reasons shown G.N. Holton to the City Council, the pound fees , amounting to $3.00, paid by W.C. Clark G. N. Holton and the pound fees, amounting to $3.00, paid by W. C. Clark Refund be refunded , and that the City Clerk be instructed to issue warrants to cover. Motion carried by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Haynes and Ward; nays, none, Councilman Graham absent. The Council then recessed.
RECESSED SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL:
Austin, Texas, October 31, 1919. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Haynes and Ward; absent Councilman Graham. The following certificate, presented by Councilman Haynes , was read and action taken thereon and the bonds mentioned therein were burned in the furnace at the City Hall in the presence of the Mayor and City Council and the certificate was duly signed by each of them:
