REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL:
Austin, Texas, December 24, 1919.
The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; absent, none.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and, upon motion of Councilman Haynes, were adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nays, none.
Councilman Haynes moved that the regular order of business be suspended and that a committee be heard. W. T. Haynes and C. W. Wroe, representing the property owners in the neighborhood of West Seventeenth Street, West Avenue and Rio Grande Street, appeared before the Council and complained of conditions on those streets. No action was taken.
The application of R. R. Haehnel to operate a service car was granted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nays, none.
Councilman Ward introduced the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the sum of Two Thousand, Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($2,750.00) be and the same is hereby transferred from the Earnings Fund of the Water, Light and Power Department to the Park Fund to cover overdraft occasioned by the purchase of dirt, etc., for the Avenue Bridge Park.

The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nays, none.
The communication of C. L. Woodward, Chief of the Fire Department, was read and referred to the City Engineer, Chief of Police and City Attorney for their consideration, by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nays, none.
The Council then adjourned.

After reading the minutes of the last meeting. Councilman Haynes moved the adoption of the same. Motion carried by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Graham and Haynes, 3; nays, none, Councilmen Alford and Ward absent.
Councilman Haynes moved that the regular order of business be suspended and that the application of W. W. Boring to operate a service car be taken up. After hearing the facts of the case, as presented by his attorney, Henry Faulk, Councilman Graham moved that action on the same be postponed until Saturday, ten o'clock A. M., January 3, 1920. Motion carried by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Graham and Haynes, 3; nays, none, Councilmen Alford and Ward being absent.
