In the matter of assessment of Mrs. Marie Gross Estate, the Board of equalization erroneously increased the value of Improvements on the W 2/3 of lot 6 in Block 87 from $900 to $1500. We lost sight of the age of said improvements and failed them to conform to improvement of recent construction on lot in the immediate neighborhood. James Belger, Pres. Board. The above Resolution was adopted by the following vote. Mayor Yett, Councilman Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward. The Mayor submitted the budget of 1920 to the Council for their approval. Councilman Haynes moved that the Budget be approved which was accordingly done by the following vote, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward. The communication of Robinson Brothers, compressed between fourth and fifth streets on East Avenue. Councilman Alford moved that communication be referred to C.L. Woodward, Chief of the Fire Department, and J.E. Woody Fire Marshall for their report back to the City Council. RESOLUTION, ordering the Paving of the Alley between 4th and 5th Streets from Colorado to Lavaca Streets and instructing the Superintendent of Stree and Public Improvements to advertise for bids. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN TEXAS: That the Alley between 4th and 5th Streets from Colorado to Lavaca Streets be and the same is hereby ordered paved with two (2) course concrete pavement according to standard specifications heretofore adopted by the City Council. Further, that the cost of said pavement shall be borne by the respective property owners according to their respective frontage. Further, that the Superintendent of Streets and Public Improvements be and is hereby instructed to advertise for bids for the paving of said Alley according to standard specifications heretofore adopted by the City Council.
