The Council then recessed. SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: AUSTIN, TEXAS, April 10, 1920. The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present; Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Haynes and Ward, 4; absent, Councilman Graham. The application of Frank J. Comte, Agent for the Grey Burg Oil Company of San Antonio, Texas, for permission to erect a gasoline filling station at the intersection of Congress Avenue and First Street, on Lot 1, Block 5, was granted, with the understanding that same was to be erected under the supervision of the City Engineer and Chief of the Fire Department, by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Haynes and Ward, 4; nays, none, Councilman Graham absent. The application of Frank J. Comte, Agent for the Grey Burg Oil Company of San Antonio, Texas, to erect a gasoline filling station at the intersection of Congress Avenue and East Sixteenth Street, on part of Lots 11 and 12, Outlot 48, Division "E", was granted, with the understanding that same was to be erected under the supervision of the City Engineer and Chief of the Fire Department, by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Haynes, and Ward, 4; nays none, Councilman Graham absent. The Council then adjourned. J C Hornsby City Clerk. REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, April 15, 1920. The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; absent, none. Upon motion of Councilman Haynes, the Minutes of the last meeting were read and adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nays, none. The matter of opening the alley in Block No. 2 was taken up and Councilman Graham moved that same be referred to the City Attorney and City Engineer for their report back to the Council. Motion carried by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nays, none. The petition of A. D. Richardson and others complaining of the lights on College Heights was referred to Councilman Ward, by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward,5; nays, none. The petition of the office employes for a half holiday on Saturdays was read and Councilman Haynes moved that half holiday on Saturdays begin June 1st and continue until October 1st. Motion carried by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nays, none. Upon the recommendation of the City Engineer, C. E. Leonard, the petition of the Bergstrom Auto Company to install a curb gasoline pump at No. 127 West Fifth Street was granted by the following vote: Ayes,
