SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, May 28, 1920. The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Haynes, and Ward, 4; absent, Councilman Graham. Councilman Ward introduced the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the order issued by the City Sexton of the City of Austin to Mrs. Rey Rather for the sale of Lot No. 1 in Section "F" of Oakwood Annex be cancelled, for the reason that said Lot No. 1 had been sold by the City Council to Mrs. Frank Moore previous to the issuance of said order by the Sexton. The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Haynes and Ward, 4; nays, none, absent, Councilman Graham. The Council then adjourned. Gus Hornsby, City Clerk. REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, June 3, 1920. The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; absent, none. The Minutes of the last meeting were read, and adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nays, none. The petition of Wiley Laramore, colored, to move a house 28x28 feet from Riverside Drive to a point on South Congress Avenue was referred to the Superintendent of Streets and Public Improvements and the City Engineer, with instructions to act in the premises as they may see fit. Councilman Graham moved that the contractors for the new theatre to be erected at the corner of Congress Avenue and West Seventh Street be allowed to fence West Seventh Street for one-third of its width back to the alley way, also one-third of Congress Avenue in front of said theatre building, and that they be required to build a covered passageway over the sidewalk on Congress Avenue in front of said building. The motion carried by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nays, none. Councilman Haynes introduced the following resolution, with affidavit attached: Whereas, W. C. Wesson has submitted a sworn statement herewith attached that the rendition made by him of merchandise at a valuation of $200.00 for taxes of 1919 is erroneous, in that said merchandise was not owned by him on the 1st day of January, 1919, and was not in the store until after February 1, 1919, Therefore,
