Recess taken The communication of Henry Orsay was read and referred to Councilman Graham. The resignation of J. A. Woody as a policeman of the City of Austin upon motion of Councilman Alford, was accepted by the following vote: Ayes Mayor Pro Tem Haynes, Councilmen Alford, Graham and Ward, 4; nayes, none. The petition of Sam R. Davis and others, complaining of a nuisance at No. 704 West 22nd Street, was read, and upon motion of Councilman Ward, was referred to Mayor Pro Tem Haynes, by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Pro Tem Haynes, Councilmen Alford, Graham and Ward, 4; nayes, none. Maxwell, Sealer of Weights and Measures, Mrs. E. Schulz, Superintendent of Nurses at City Hospital, J. A. Warren, Cashier and Bookkeeper of the Street and Sewer Department, J. E. Woody, Fire Marshal, and the detailed report of C. E. Leonard, City Engineer, and Dr. E. P. Schoch, pertaining to the sewage disposal plant, were read and ordered filed. The Council then recessed.
