REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL:
Austin, Texas, October 21, 1920.
The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; absent, none.
The petition of Harry Daum, asking permission to install an underground tank at No. 1900 East 12th Street for the purpose of selling gasoline, was read. Councilman Graham moved that the petition be granted, with the understanding that same should be built under the supervision of the City Engineer. Motion carried by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nayes, none.
The petition of J. R. McCall to construct a sidewalk across the abutting premises at No. 212 Congress Avenue for the purpose of ingress to and egress from said building was granted, with the understanding that all work was to be done under the supervision of the City Engineer, by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nayes, none.
The petition of Emiliano Ortiz for permission to give a show in Austin on the 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th days of October, 1920, on East Avenue on the north side of East Sixth Street north of the Public Scales and south of East Seventh Street, was read, and Councilman Graham moved that the petition be granted. Motion carried by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nayes, none.
The report of Dr. C. H. Brownlee, City Health Officer, for the month of September, 1920, was read and ordered filed.
Sam Dickens, as attorney for Lawrence Sellers, appeared before the Council, claiming damages sustained to one Ford car on the 4th day of July, 1920, alleging that same was run into by one of the Fire Department's trucks. After a discussion of this matter, it was agreed that Mr. Dickens should file his claim in writing.
The Council then recessed.

Councilman Haynes introduced the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That, in consideration of the fact that Frank D. Yott is still in the service of the American Army overseas, the penalties accrued on back taxes due by the said Frank D. Yott , amounting to $2.83 for the year 1917, $2.64 for the year 1918, and $2.80 for the year 1919, or a total of $8.27, be and
