410 service car was granted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nayes, none, Mayor Yett laid before the Council the following ordinance: "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND FIXING THE RATES THAT CAN BE CHARGED BY ALL PERSONS, FIRMS, CORPORATIONS, OR RECEIVERS, OWNING, RUNNING, LEASING OR OPERATING GAS PLANTS AND GAS WORKS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF SUCH ORDINANCE,." The ordinance was read the first time and Councilman Ward moved that the rule be suspended and the ordinance placed on its second reading. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nayes, none. The ordinance was read the second time and Councilman Ward moved a further suspension of the rule and the placing of the ordinance on its third reading and final passage. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nayes, none. The ordinance was read the third time and Councilman Haynes moved that the ordinance do now finally pass. The Minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion of Councilman Haynes, were adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Kayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nayes, none. Councilman Haynes moved that the regular order of business be suspended and that a Committee be heard. T. Ramsey & Sons, Nurserymen, to erect a temporary office on the vacant property at Tenth Street and Congress Avenue was granted with the understanding that same was to meet with the approval of the Chief of the Fire Department, by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nayes, none. Councilman Haynes introduced the following resolution, with affidavit attached of Louis J. Tackett: WHEREAS, Louis J. Tackett makes affidavit that the rendition made by him of $925.00, Notes and Credits for taxes of 1920, was in error, same not being subject to said tax by reason of his outstanding notes and credits being in excess of the amount of said rendition, Therefore, BE I'T RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the Assessor and Collector be and he is hereby instructed to strike said rendition from the assessment of said Louis J Tackett for 1920 and to take credit therefor. The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nayes, none. Warren, Bookkeeper and Cashier of the Street and Sewer Department, Miss Nellie M. Hall, Secretary United Charities Association, C. L. Woodward, Chief of the Fire Department, and the two reports of J.
