Councilman Haynes introduced the following resolution, with affidavit attached of Louis J. Tackett: WHEREAS, Louis J. Tackett makes affidavit that the rendition made by him of $925.00, Notes and Credits for taxes of 1920, was in error, same not being subject to said tax by reason of his outstanding notes and credits being in excess of the amount of said rendition, Therefore, BE I'T RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the Assessor and Collector be and he is hereby instructed to strike said rendition from the assessment of said Louis J Tackett for 1920 and to take credit therefor. The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Alford, Graham, Haynes and Ward, 5; nayes, none. Councilman Alford introduced the following resolution: WHEREAS, it appears from the attached affidavit of J. C. Moore that he was the owner of one sorrel roach mane horse and one bay mare which were impounded by the City of Austin on January 7th, 1921, and sold at the city pound on the 18th day of January, 1921, for the sum of Thirty-five Dollars and Twenty-five Cents ($35.25); and WHEREAS, according to the City Ordinance governing same, the said J. C. Moore is entitled to the sum of Twenty-four Dollars and Twenty-five Cents ($24.25) out of the sale of said live stock; Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the sum of Twenty-four Dollars and Twenty-five Cents ($24.25) arising from the sale of said live stock, be and the same is hereby refunded to the said J. C. Moore and the Clerk of the Corporation Court of the City of Austin is hereby authorized to make such refund. Palmquist, J. A. Nelson, R. L. Ziller, A. H. Pool, C. W. Barker, Frederick J, Bohn, A. W. Von Struve, H. C. Edgar, Clarence Stelfox, J. H. Richey, Joe Amstead, Jr., A. S. Bowles, B. M. Osborne, Bert C. Brady, Rufus C. Stoval, W. H. Maddox, Tom J. White, J. K. Rambo, M. C. Leonard, Geo. W. Patterson, S. J. Kelley, J. A. Woody, Joe Smith, and S. C. Loomis; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That none of the above persons shall be allowed to carry arms, nor shall receive any compensation for his services as special policeman, but shall take the oath of office as required by law.
