SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, June 28, 1921. 1 1 471 The Council was called to order by the Mayor, Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes, 4 ; absent, Councilman Searight. bids for supplies for the City of Austin for the period beginning July 1st, 1921, and ending December 31st, 1921, were opened: The bide of the Austin American and the Austin Statesman were read and upon motion of Councilman Haynes, the bid of the Austin Statesman was accepted as the lowest and best bid, by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres and Haynes, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Searight absent. i : The bid of Robinson Bros to furnish stock feed for the City Sanitary Department was accepted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres and Haynes, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Searight absent. The bid of W. H. Richardson & Company to furnish hardware to the City of Austin was read and upon motion of Councilman Haynes was accepted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, and Haynes, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Searight absent. The bid of Spalding Bros to furnish prescriptions and drugs to the City of Austin was read and upon motion of Councilman Haynes was accepted b the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres and Haynes 4; nayes, none, Councilman Searight absent. The bids of Rhambo & Woodard and Wm. ia, Tears for furnishing ambulance service and coffins for colored paupers were read and Councilman Copeland moved that the bid of Wm. M. Tears be accepted as the best bid. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres and Haynes 4; nayes, none, Councilman Searight absent. The bids of Rosengren-Cook and V. O. Weed to furnish ambulance service and coffins for white paupers were read, and upon motion of Councilman haynes, the bid of V. O. Weed was accepted as the lowest and best bid, by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, and Наупев, 4; nayes, none, Councilmarı Bearight absent.
