542 : : REGULAR MBRETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, November 23, 1921, The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; absent, none. The Minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion of Councilman Haynes, were adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none. The application of sergeant John Marshall for use of Wooldridge Park on the night of December 23, 1921, upon motion of Councilman Copeland was granted, with the provision that he pay for lights used, by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none. The communication of Garrett, Brownlee & Goldsmith, Attorneys for the Security Life Insurance Company, was read and upon motion of Councilman Haynes was referred to the City Attorney by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none. The Council then recessed. SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, November 25, 1921, The Council was called to order by the wayor, Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; absent, none. The application of the Baptist Missionary Committee to erect a tent on the vacant lot north of the West Austin Fire Hall was read and upon motion of Councilman Copeland was granted, subject to revocation by the City Council by the following vote: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Bearight, 5; nayes, none. Frank B. Taylor appeared before the Council and read his report A committee composed of W. E. Davis and others, asking permission to use a portion of East Seventh Street between Trinity and Heches Streets for the purpose of holding a stook and poultry exhibit on December 7, 8, 9, and 10, appeared before the Council, and said request was granted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Sea- right, 5; nayes, none. The Council then recessed.
