The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none. Councilman Copeland introduced the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the sum of $400.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the City Hospital Bond Fund for the purpose of paying in full Edwin C. Kreisle and A. W. Harris for services as architects in connection with certain plans for a Nurses Home in connection with the City Hospital; and the City Clerk is hereby instructed to issue a warrant for said amount, payable out of said fund, to the order of Edwin C. Kreisle, and A. W. Harris in full payment for said services. The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none. Councilman Copeland introduced the following resolution: • WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore purchased from R. H. MoClure Company of Dallas, Texas, certain sterilizers and equipment for the sum of $2155.00, for use in the City Hospital, which sterilizers and equipment have been delivered and installed in said Hospital, and there is now due said company the purchase price therefor; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the sum of $2155.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the City Hospital Bond Fund, and the City Clerk is hereby instructed to draw a warrant for said amount payable to the order of said E. H. McClure Company in full payment for said equipment. The bids of the Austin American and The Statesman for newspaper printing for the City of Austin for the six months beginning January 1st, 1922, were read and upon motion of Councilman Copeland the bid of the Austin Statesman was accepted as the lowest and best bid by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none. The bide of the Bryant Creamery Company, Fritz Oertli, and the Jersey Farm for supplying sweet and butter milk to the City Hospital for the six months beginning January 1st, 1922, were opened and read. Upon motion of Councilman Haynes, the bid of Wm. M. Tears for furnishing ambulance service and coffins for colored paupers was accepted as the lowest and best bid, by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none, Upon motion of Councilman Haynes, the bid of V. O. Weed for furnishing ambulance service and coffins for white paupers of the City of Austin for six months beginning January 1st, 1922, was accepted as the lowest and best bid, by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none, The bids of the Austin Laundry Dry Cleaning Company and the Home Steam Laundry were opened and read, and upon motion of Councilman Copeland, the bid of the Austin Laundry and Dry Cleaning Company was accepted as the lowest and best bid by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none. Councilman Haynes moved that all bids for milk, Groceries, Meats and Drugs be referred to Councilman Copeland for his report back to the Council.
