Councilman Haynes moved that Councilman Copeland be authorized to enter into a contract for the purchase and installation of an X-ray Machine at the City Hospital, same to be paid for out of the Hospital Bond Fund, Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Senright, 5; nayes, none, The Council then recessed. SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, Febrary 3,1922 The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; absent, none Certain protests against the action of the Board of Equalization in the valuation placed upon certain properties were read The Council then adjourned. ? Storncler SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: 1 Austin, Texas, February 6, 1922, The Council was called to order by the Mayor, Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; absent, none. The bids of the Carr Coal Company, The Molester Fuel Company, the Belto Coal Company, the Ira Perry Coal Company, the Calvert Coal Company, the Big Lump & Texas Company, and the Calvin Coal Company were opened and read, and after a consideration of all bids, the bid of the Big Lump Texas Coal Company was accepted as the best bid by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none, Councilman Haynes moved that W. L. Eyres, Superintendent of the Water, Light and Power Department, be authorized to enter into a contract with the Big Lump Texas Coal Company for one-half of the City's requirements, approximately 1700 tons per month, at the price of $1.75 per ton f.o.b. Rockdale, Texas. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none. The claim of W. R.
