1 ! Austin in the said James Rafferty League in Herdin County, Texas, Motion preveiled by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Tyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none. The Council then recessed, SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, February 11, 1922. 601 The Council was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Haynes. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Pro tem Haynes, Councilmen Copeland Fyres; absent, Mayor Yett, Councilman Searight. • Mayor Pro tem Haynes introduced the following resolution: WHEREAS, the City of Austin has heretoforé entered into contract with L. J. Hurst for building and installing one kitchen cabinet in the City Hospital and in accordance with said contract said Hurst has completed said work, Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the sum of $179.50 be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the City Hospital Bond Fund, and the City Clerk is hereby instructed to draw a warrant for said amount, payable to L. J. Hurst in full payment for the above contract. The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Pro tem Haynes, Councilmen Copeland and Eyres, 3; nayes, none, Mayor Yett and Councilman Searight absent. The Council then adjourned, Hornsby ! REGULAR. MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, February 16,1922, The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Council ouncilmen Copeland, Fyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; absent, none. The reading of the minutes of the last meetings was suspended. Councilman Haynes introduced the following resolution: WHEREAS, the Board of Equalization in consideration of complaints of owners of property made a reduction in the value of the improvements on Lot 7, Block D, Outlot 2 in Division "Z", assessed by A. M. Gribble, from $3335.00 to $2665.00, as shown by notation made by the Secrerary of said Board on the rolls, but failed to report such change to the Assessor and Collector, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the Assessor and Collector he and he is hereby authorized to accept 602 the payment of taxes on the reduced valuation of $2665.00 and to take credit for the texes on the $670.00, the amount of reduction agreed upon by the Board of Equalization. The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none, Councilman Copeland introduced the following resolution: WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore purchased from S. A. Philquist certain articles of household furniture for the equipment of the Nurses' Home, an addition to the City Hospital, for the sum of $500.00 and said equipment has been delivered to the City for such purposes, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTÍN : That the sum of $500.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the City Hospital Bond Fund and the City Clerk is hereby instructed to draw a warrant for said amount payable to the order of S. A. Philquist, in full payment for said equipment. The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none. The Council then took up the matter of the hearing of a number of tax protests, after which the Council recessed, SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, February 20,1922 The Council was called to order by the Mayor, Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyres, Haynes and Bearight, 5; absent, none, Councilman Haynes introduced the following resolution: RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS: That the schedule of prices hereto attached against the number of the lots and their approximate sizes in Section II of Oakwood Cemetery Annex, be and the same is hereby adopted by the City Council as the schedule of prices for lots in said Section E of Oakwood Cemetery Annex, The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Eyren, Haynes and Searight, 5; nayes, none.
