! The ordinance was read the third time and Councilman Haynes moved that same do now finally равв. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Haynes and Searight, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Eyres absent. The Council then adjourned. Goer Hornsby. City Belenk REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: 93 Austin, Texas, February 8,1923. The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Haynes and Searight, 4; absent, Councilman Eyres. The Minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion of Councilman Copeland were adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Haynes and Searight, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Eyres absent. The monthly reports of Sam D. Griffin, City Marshal, Robert Rockwood, Fire Marshal, and Fred Sterzing, Assessor and Collector, were read and ordered filed. The petition of N. S. Thompson and others, asking that the City have an electric light installed on West 38th Street, was read, and Councilman Copeland moved that the petition be referred to Councilman Eyres. Motion pre- vailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, liaynes and Searight, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Eyres absent. Upon the recommendation of the Chairman of the Board of Equalization, Councilman Haynes introduced the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the Assessor and Collector be and he is hereby instructed to correct above assessment on his rolls for 1922, in accordance with above statement, and to take credit for amount of reduction. The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Copeland, Haynes and Searight, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Eyres absent. The Council then adjourned.
