194 WHEREAS, it appears from statement of Dr. A. Caswell Ellis, which has been verified by the Assessor and Collector, that a clerical error was made in the valuation placed on his property, Lot 15, Blook 12, Outlots 15, 16 and 17, Division "D", Whitis Addition, by the Unit System experts, making a double assessment and increasing the total valuation from the correct amount of $4895.00 to $6370.00, Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That the Assessor and Collector be and he is hereby instructed to make the proper correction of the assessment of said Ellis on his rolls for 1922 and to take credit for amount of correction. The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Avery, Haynes, Nolen and Searight, 5; nayes, none. Councilman Nolen nominated J. A. Ascevedo as special policeman of the City of Austin.
