380 The ordinance was read the third time and Mayor Yett moved that same be finally passed. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Haynes and Nolen, 3; nayes, none, Councilmen Avery and Searight absent. The Council then recessed, SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, February 3.1925. The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Avery, Haynes, Nolen and Searight, 5; absent, none. The protest of Harvey Harrell against the valuation placed by the Board of Equalization upon the improvements on South 68 feet of Lots Nos. 7, 8, and 9, was heard and Councilman Avery moved that same be reduced from $3000.00 to $2500.00 Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Avery, Haynes, Nolen and Searight, 5; nayes, none, The protest of George Nalle against the valuation placed by the Board of Equalization on Lots 9 and 10, Outlot 33, Division "D", was heard and Councilman Avery moved that same be reduced from $9000.00 to $6800.00. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Avery, Haynes, Nolen and Searight, 5; nayes, none. The protest of W. B. Loveless against the valuation placed by the Board of Equalization on Lots 11 and 12, Block 19, South Austin, was heard, and Councilman Haynes moved that the improvements be reduced from $3020.00 to $2500.00. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Avery, Haynes, Nolen and Searight, 5; nayes, none. The protest of A. J. Eilers against the valuation placed by the Board of Equalization on Lots in Grandview Place was heard, and Councilman Avery moved that same be reduced from $23,950.00 to $16,570.00. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Avery, Haynes, Nolen and Searight, 5; nayeв, none. The protest of the Barker Motor Company against the valuation placed by the Board of Equalization upon its stock on hand was heard and Councilman Avery moved that same be reduced from $30,000.00 to $17,000.00.
