388 Hospital, Miss Nellie M. Hall, Secretary United Charities, W. R. Davis, Bookkeeper Sewer Department, and J. N. Littlepage, City Marshal, were read and ordered filed. The report of C. N. Avery, Superintendent Water, Light and Power Department, for the year 1924, was read and ordered filed. The Council then recessed. SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, February 24,1925. The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Haynes and Searight, 3; absent, Councilmen Avery and Nolen, 2. The Mayor introduced the following resolution: WHEREAS, the Tax Rolls and records of the City of Austin for the year 1922 show Lots Nos. 1, 2 and 3 in Block No. 148 assessed by the City Tax Аввеввот for taxes for said year 1922 in the name of "Parsonage, First Methodist Church" at a total valuation of $13,310.00; and WHEREAS, it has been shown to the Council that the South 110 feet of said lots belong to the First Methodist Church, dedicated and used solely for purposes of religious worship; and that no part of said south 110 feet of said lots has ever been used for parsonage purposes; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS: That the City Assessor and Collector of Taxes be and is hereby instructed to correct the said Tax Rolls and Records of his office for the year 1922 to show the south 110 feet of Lots Nos. 1. 2 and 3 in Block No.148 "exempt" in the name of First Methodist Church, leaving only the north 50 feet of said lots assessed in name of "Parsonage", First Methodist Church", at a valuation of $3500.00. The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Haynes and Bearight, 3; nayes, none, Councilmen Avery and Nolen absent.
