470 REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, September 17.1925. The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Yett, Councilmen Avery, Haynes, and Nolen, 4; absent, Councilman Searight. The Minutes of the last meeting were read and Councilman Avery moved that same be adopted. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Avery, Haynes, and Nolen, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Searight absent. Councilman Avery moved that C. L. Woodward, Chief of the Fire Department, be granted a ten days leave of absence. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Avery, Haynes, and Nolen, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Searight absent. Councilman Haynes moved that C. L. Woodward, Fire Chief, be authorized to renew policies covering city fire stations. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Avery, Haynes, and Nolen, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Searight absent. Councilman Nolen moved that the City Olerk be instructed to draw a warrant in favor of M. S. Stanley in the amount of $21.00 as a refund of pound fees. Ebner to erect electric signe at 817 Congress Avenue and 103 East 6th Street, together with the report of the Safety Committee upon same, were read and Councilman Avery moved that same be adopted. The application of Frank Perry to erect a gasoline filling station on Dam Boulevard near the Austin Dam, together with the Safety Committee's report upon same, was read and Councilman Haynes moved that same be granted as recommended by the Safety Committee. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Yett, Councilmen Avery, Haynes, and Nolen, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Searight absent.
