! 508 REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL : Austin, Texas, December 31, 1925. The Council was called to order by Mayor Pro tem Haynes. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor Pro tem Haynes, Councilmen Nolen and Searight, 3; absent, Mayor Yett and Councilman Avery. tom The Minutes of the last meeting were read and Mayor Pro 'Haynes moved that same be adopted. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Pro tem Haynes, Councilmen Nolen and Searight, 3; nayes, none, Mayor Yett and Councilman Avery absent. The reports of J. N. Littlepage, City Marshal, for October and November were read and ordered filed. Councilman Searight introduced the following resolution: WHEREAS, the American Club of Austin, Texas, has proposed to dedicate a strip of land for street purposes, a part of Block & of the Swisher Addition to the City of Austin, dated December 3rd, 1925, in which deed said strip of land is described by metes and bounds, Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY, OF AUSTIN: That said dedication be and the same is hereby accepted. The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Pro tem Haynes, Councilmen Nolen and Searight, 3; nayes, none, Mayor Yett and Councilman Avery asbent. Councilman Searight moved that the Council recess until ten o'clock A.M. Saturday, January 2, 1926. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Pro tem Haynes, Councilmen Nolen and Searight, 3; nayes, none, Mayor Yett and Councilman Avery absent. The Council then recessed. : !
