604 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, September 3.1926, The Council was called to order by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor McFadden, Councilmen Barker, Mueller, and Pannell 4; absent, Councilman Reed. Councilman Barker moved that it will henceforth be the policy of the City Council to proceed immediately with the collection of all past due taxes of all kinds, and that collection will be prosecuted by legal action and sale of the property at the earliest practicable date in all cases. Councilman Mueller seconded the motion. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor McFadden, Councilmen Barker, Mueller, and Pannell, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Reed absent. Councilman Barker moved that the expense account of the City Manager, in the amount of $33.49, incurred in his trip to Fort Worth August 30th, 1926, on official business, be approved and paid. Mayor McFadden seconded the motion. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor McFadden, Councilmen Barker, Mueller, and Pannell, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Reed absent. Councilman Barker moved that the expense account in the amount of $54.50, of s. W. Mabry incurred in his visits to Austin upon invitation of City Manager Johnson in connection with the installation of accounting system for the City be paid. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor MoFadden, Qouncilmen Barker, Mueller, and Pannell, 4; nayes, none, Councilman Reed absent. an Councilman Barker moved that the bill of C. W. Koiner, of Pasadena, California, in the amount of $381.59, for expert services to the City in Company's connection with the Texas Power & Light Proposal, be approved and ordered paid. Trotter in the amount of $740.00, as partial payment for the installation of an accounting system for the City of Austin be ordered paid. Councilman Mueller seconded the motion.
