92 Councilman Pannell called up for passage the following resolution introduced by Mayor McFadden at the meeting on March 3rd, 1927, and recorded at pages 69-70 of the Kinutes hereof: A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF WEST AVENUE IN THE CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS, AND APPROVING THE SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSAL, CONTRACT AND BOND THEREFOR. The above resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor McFadden, Councilmen Barker, Pannell, and Steck, 4; nays, none, Councilman Reed absent. Mayor McFadden laid before the Council the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: That permission is hereby granted to M. H. Crockett to use the strip of land hereinafter described for the service of gasoline and other products to his customers at his gasoline station situated on the tract of land hereinafter described, said strip of land being 10 feet wide and parallel to the East line of Congress Avenue along the entire Congress Avenue frontage which is adjacent to those particular tracts of land described in the Deed from Antonio Raggio and wife, Gladys L. Raggio, to M. H. Crockett, said Deed being recorded in the Travis County Deed Records, in Book 387, at pages 483 to 484, inclusive, provided, that the privilege herein granted may be rescinded by the City Council at any time that it becomes necessary to employ said strip of land for general public purposes Councilman Steck moved the adoption of the above resolution. Motion was seconded by Councilman Pannell and same prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor McFadden, Councilmen Pannell and Steck, 3; nays, none, Councilman Barker and Reed absent.
