415 Councilman Reed moved that the Council recess, subject to call of the Mayor. Motion was seconded by Councilman Mueller, and same prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor Mofadden, Councilmen Mueller, Pannell, Reed, and Steck, 5; nays, none. The Council then recessed. APPROVED DVW W.M Fadden Mayor. SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, March 6, 1931, The Council was called to order at 8:00 P. M. by the Mayor. Roll call showed the following members present: Mayor McFadden, Councilmen Pannell, Reed, and Steck, 4; absent, Councilman Mueller, 1. Councilman Pannell moved that the certain ordinance passed on March 5, 1931, granting to James F. Taylor, Contractor for the Scarbrough Building, the use of certain streets be amended in accordance with the recommendations of the Building Inspector and the Traffic Department, and that the City Attorney be directed to prepare such amendment. Motion was seconded by Councilman Steok and same prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor McFadden, Councilmen Pannell, Reed, and Steck, 4; nays, none, Councilman Mueller absent, 1. The Mayor stated that the Council would take up for consideration the requests of certain citizens for changes in the zoning map. Mayor MoFadden moved that the property owned by D. B. Barrow and M. L. Pearson, known as Lots 72 and 73, in the South one-half of Outlot No. I, Division "X", at the intersection of the proposed Waller Boulevard and Twenty-sixth Street, be placed in Commercial "C" Use District. Motion was seconded by Councilman Pannell, and same prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor MoFadden, Councilmen Pannell, Reed, and Steck, 4; nays, none; Councilman Mueller absent, 1. Mayor MoFadden moved that Lot No. 6, Block 68, at the northwest corner intersection of East Fifteenth Street and East Avenue, owned by Mrs. T. A. Stromquist, be placed in Commercial "C" Use District, provided that any building that may be erected thereon shall front on East Fifteenth Street. Motion was seconded by Councilman Pannell, and same prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Mayor McFadden, Councilmen Pannell, Reed, and Steck, 4; nays, none, Councilman Mueller absent, 1.
