Councilman Bartholomew moved that the recommendation of the City Attorney be approved and the application of the said Bill King for a remission of said fine and costs be denied, but that the time of payment of said fine and costs be extended to cover a period of six months if so desired. The motion was seconded by Councilman Alford and same prevailed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Alford, Bartholomew, Gillis, Mayor Miller, and Councilman Wolf, 5; nays, none. Mayor Miller moved that the Council, by rising vote, express its sympathy and regret to the family of Hal B. Naylor, Manager of the Robert Mueller Airport, on the unfortunate accident a few days ago while on duty, which resulted in his death, and to further express approval and commendation of the excellent condition in which the books and affairs at the Airport were found to be under his management. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gillis and carried unanimously. There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Alford moved to recess subject to call of the Mayor. Dear Sir: I am submitting herewith project surveys on a number of proposed work jobs for the City of Austin, all of which I believe come under approved lists of work as outlined in the recently enacted Public Works Bill. Some of these projects, as you will note from the individual project surveys, are anywhere from 50 to 100 per cent complete so far as plans and specifications are concerned and work on same could be commenced within a few days after the loans are authorized; others have had no preliminary work done on the plans and the method of financing so far as security to be offered has not been worked out nor have certain self-liquidating projects been 131 gone into in detail with respect to anticipated revenues which might be pledged in payment. The following is a summary of these projects in so far as a brief description and total cost is concerned and have been divided into groups according to the class and nature of the work proposed.
