596 There being no further business, Councilman Wolf moved to recess, subject to call of the Mayor. The motion carried by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Alford, Bartholomew, Gillis, Mayor Miller, and Councilman Wolf, 5; nays, none. Attestt The Council then recessed. Aity Clerk Approved, Jom Milla Mayor. SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, November 19, 1934. The meeting was called to order with Mayor Tom Miller presiding. Roll call showed the following members present: Councilmen Alford, Bartholomew, Gillis, Mayor Miller, and Councilman Wolf, 5; absent, none. The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: THAT the City Tax Assessor and Collector be and he is hereby authorized and directed to accept proffers of payment of delinquent ad valorem taxes due the City of Austin, without interest and penalties thereon, and to issue his temporary or interim receipts there- for, and to place any moneys so received on deposit in a separate account hereby established for such purpose, and to apply properly such payments after February 9, 1935, and before March 15, 1935, to the taxes, and after said first named date and on or before March 15, 1935, to issue his receipts in full for said taxes without imposing interest and penalties; provided, that said delinquent taxes in each instance are paid in full on or before said last named date, and provided further, that the Act of the 43rd Legislature, releasing interest and penalties on delinquent ad valorem taxes, is not repealed by said last named date. The resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Alford, Bartholomew, Gillis, Mayor Miller, and Councilman Wolf, 5; naye, none. There being no further business, Councilman Alford moved to recess, subject to call of the Mayor. The motion carried by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Alford, Bartholomew, Gillis, Mayor Miller, and Councilman Wolf, 5; nays, none. The Council then recessed. Approved: Jommilla Mayor.
