Councilman Alford offered the following resolution: BE IT REBOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: THAT the sum of $900.00 be, and the same is hereby, appropriated out of the General Fund, not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of increasing the salaries of Police and Fire Chiefs from $250.00 to $300.00 per month each, effective April 1, 1938.
