SPRCIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texas, March 16, 1940. The City Council convened in special session at 2:00 P. M., Saturday, March 16, 1940, with all members present. The following report of the City Manager was received: Hemorandum tot Oity Council "March 16, 1940 I recommend the adoption of the attached resolutions granting the Augue Packing Company, San Antonio; the City Packing Company, Fort Worth; Wright-Patterson Packing Company, Dallas; and the Neuhoff Packing Company, Dallas, permite to sell meat and meat products in Austin. (Signed) Guiton Morgan City Manager. Mayor Hiller introduced the following resolutions WHEREAS, in the interest of public health, the City of Austin has, and enforces, an ordinance regulating the processing and sale of neat and meat products which are not produced under Federal inspection; and WHEREAS, the Augue Packing Company, of San Antonio, Texas, has requested permission from the Oity of Austin to sell meat and meat products in Austin; and WHEREAS, the Augue Packing Company of San Antonio, Texas, has complied with all of the ordinance regulations of the City of Austin and the plant has been inspected by the City Health Officer and designated representatives of the City, and they have recommended to the City Manager that a permit for the sale of meat and meat products be granted; and WHEREAS, the City Mansgor has recommended to the City Council the authorisation of such permit; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTINI THAT said Augue Packing Company be and is hereby authorised to sell meat and meat products within the City of Austin in conformity with all ordinance regulations, unless such license is revoked for due cause. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Alford, Bartholomew, 011118, Mayor Miller, and Councilman Wolf; nays, none. The following resolution was introduced by Mayor Milleri WHEREAS, in the interest of public health, the City of Austin has, and enforces, an ordinance regulating the processing and sale of meat and meat products which are not produced under Federal inspection; and WHEREAS, Wright-Patterson Packing Company, of Dallas, Texas, has requested pormission from the City of Austin to sell meat and meat products in Austin; and WHEREAS, the said Wright-Patterson Packing Company has complied with all of the ordinance regulations of the City of Austin and the plant has been inspected by the City Health Officer and desig- nated representatives of the Oity, and they have recommended to the City Manager that a permit for the sale of meat and meat products be granted; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended to the City Council the authorisation of such permit; now, therefore, 38 IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: THAT said Wright-Patterson Packing Company be and is hereby authorised to sell meat and meat products within the City of Austin in conformity with all ordinance regulations, unless such license is revoked for due cause. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the following votes Ayes, Councilmen Alford, Bartholomew, 011118, Hayor Miller, and Councilman Wolf; nays, none. The following resolution was introduced by Mayor Hillers WHEREAS, in the interest of public health, the City of Austin has, and enforces, an ordinance regulating the processing and sale of meat and meat products which are not produced under Federal inspection; and WHEREAS, the Neuhoff Bros. Packing Company, of Dallas, Texas, has requested permission from the City of Austin to sell meat and meat products in Austin; and WHEREAS, the said Neuhoff Bros. Packing Company has complied with all of the ordinance regulations of the City of Austin and the plant has been inspected by the City Health Officer and designated representatives of the City, and they have recommended to the City Manager that a permit for the sale of meat and meat products be granted; and MEKREAS, the City Manager has recommended to the City Council the authorisation of such permit; now, therefore, EN IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: THAT said Neuhoff Bros. Packing Company be and is hereby authorised to sell meat and meat products within the City of Austin in conformity with all ordinance regulations, unless such license is revoked for due cause. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the following votet Ayes, Councilmen Alford, Bartholomew, 011118, Mayor Miller, and Councilman Wolf; nays, none.
