RHOULAR MENTING OF THE CITY COUNCIL: Austin, Texnя, July 07, 1943 The City Council convened in Regular Seasion, at the repular meeting place in the Municipal Building, on Wednesday, July 7, 1943, nt 11:10 A. M., with Mayor Tom Miller presiding; the meeting having been held on this day on account of the intended absence of the Mayor from the City on the following Thursday, the regular meeting day. Roll coll showed the following members presont: Councilmen Alford, Bartholomew, Gillin, and Mayor Miller: absent, Councilman Wolf. There were prosent also: Walter E. Senholm, Acting City Manager; J. E. Mothoral, City Engineer; J. H. Patternon, Jr., Acting City Attorney; and R. D. Thorp, Chief of Police. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 1, 1943, were read; and upon motion of Councilman Alford, were adopted as read by the following vote! "Ayes," Councilmen Alford, Bartholomew, Gillis, and Mayor Miller; "nays," none; Councilman Wolf absent. It was moved by Councilman Alford that upon the recommendation of the Police Department the taxicab driver's permit issued to Frodderic Constanti Verrell, being Permit #878, be revoked. The motion carried by the following vote: "ayes," Councilmen Alford, Bartholomew, Gillis, and Mayor Miller: "naye," none; Councilman Wolf absent.
