280 Councilmen Alford, Bartholomew, Gillis, and Mayor Miller; "Nays," none; Councilman Wolf absent. The Mayor submitted to the Council a letter from Colonel L. L. Sailor, Commanding Officer at Bergstrom Army Air Field, inclosing a letter sent to Commanding Officers of surrounding Air Fields instructing that low flying over the City be discontinued, The City Engineer submitted a proposal for certain changes in the flying pattern at the Municipal Airport in order to eliminate considerable noise and trouble. The matter was referred back to the City Engineer to work out with the CM. A Froclamation by the Mayor proclaiming the week of September 26-October 3 as "THIRTEENTH ANNUAL RELIGIOUS EDUCATION WEEK," was approved. There being no further business, upon motion seconded and carried, the meeting was recessed at 11:10 Λ. Μ., subject to call of the Mayor. M., with Mayor Tom Miller proeiding. Roll call showed the following members present: Councilmen Alford, Gillis, and Mayor Milleri absent, Councilmen Bartholomew and Wolf. There were present also: Walter E. Seaholm, Acting City Manager; J. E. Motheral, City Engineer; and R. D. Thorp, Chief of Police, and J. M. Patterson, Jr., Acting City Attorney. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 23, 1943, were read, and upon motion of Councilman Alford were adopted as read, by the following vote: "Ayes," Councilmen Alford, Gillis, and Mayor Miller; "Nays," None; Councilmen Bartholomew and Wolf absent. Councilman Gillis offered the following resolutions (RESOLUTION) BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: THAT Walter E. Seaholm, the Acting City Manager of the City of Austin, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute for and in behalf of the CITY OF AUSTIN a quitclaim deed to E. C. BARRON, conveying all the right, title, and interest acquired by the City of Austin to Lot No. 5. Block 8, Outlot No. 3, Division "0", in the City of Austin, Travis County, Texas. Upon motion of Councilman Gillis, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote: "Ayes," Councilmen Alford, Oillis, and Mayor Miller; "Nays," none; Councilmen Bartholomew and Wolf absent. Councilman Alford offered the following resolutions (RESOLUTION) BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN; THAT the Acting City Manager be, and he is hereby authorised and directed, on behalf of the OLTY OF AUSTIN, to execute a quitclaim deed conveying to the L. K. Miller Estate the east 220 feet of Lot 6, Block No. 68, City of Austin, and to K. C.
