TEXAS NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Austin will be held on the 29th day of March, 1955, at the Municipal Building, Eighth and Colorado, in Austin, Texas, at 10:00 A.M. for the purpose of appointing election officials for the General Election, April 2, 1955; and for the purpose of discussing the payment of 1/8 of the fee for the preliminary plans of the Auditorium. Council Chamber, City Hall 244 244 The meeting was called to order with Mayor McAden presiding. Roll call: Present: Councilmen Long, Pearson, Thompson, White, Mayor McAden Absent: None The Mayor announced that this meeting was called for the purpose of appointing election officials for the General Election to be held on April 2, 1955; and for the purpose of discussing the payment of one-eighth of the fee for the preliminary plans of the Auditorium. The Council appointed the election officials for the 37 precincts and appointed alternates in some precincts. The City Attorney was instructed to prepare an ordinance for the appointment of these officials. The Council discussed the payment of one-eighth of the fee to the Architects for the preliminary plans of the Auditorium. No action was taken by the Council at this time, but it was suggested that the Architects submit a list of the work done. There being no further business the Council adjourned subject to the call of the Mayor. ATTEST: City Clerk APPROVED Mayor
