1031 CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS 1031 NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Austin will be held on the 6th day of October, 1955, at the Municipal Building, Eighth and Colorado, in Austin, Texas, at 11:45 A.M. for the purpose of authorizing the purchase of 5 Oil Circuit Breakers under our existing contract PA 89 for the sum of $10,000 each. Council Chamber, City Hall The meeting was called to order with Mayor Miller presiding. Roll call: Present: Councilmen Palmer, Pearson, White, Mayor Miller Absent: Councilman Long Present also: W.T. Williams, Jr., City Manager; Doren Eskew, City Attorney The Mayor announced that this meeting was called at 11:45 was for the purpose of authorizing the purchase of five oil circuit breakers under our existing contract, PA 89 for the sum of $10,000 each. The Mayor explained the necessity of extending the contract to include these, as the price had gone up to $12,500 each. Councilman White moved that the City Manager be instructed to go ahead and buy these five oil circuit breakers at $10,000 each. The motion, seconded by Councilman Pearson, carried by the following vote: Ayes: Noes: Councilmen Palmer, Pearson, White, Mayor Miller None Absent: Councilman Long There being no further business the Council adjourned this special meeting at 12:00 Noon subject to the call of the Mayor.
