MR. A. B. ROSSON appeared in the interest of the Dog ordinance, and reporting a dog in his neighborhood running loose most of thetime. He submitted a petition asking that the Council do something to furnish relief from the unnecessary motor noises. Councilman Pearson stated there was an ordinance covering this noise. The Mayor announced that publicity be given to the public that the muffler ordinance was going to be enforced, that with the 25,000 school children and the necessity of safe driving, that this ordinance must be enforced more gigidly. He asked the Press, Radio and T.V. to carry the publicity also. The Mayor asked that the people be asked to register their dogs for their own protection, and that they have the dogs vaccinated, as the danger was just as great when they were tied up as if they were running loose. It was suggested that the Veterinarians continue sending their notices to the people about the time for vaccinations for the animals. Councilman Pearson had a report from the Trinity Laboratories on the gravel from the pit of Pat Canion. Councilman Pearson suggested setting the standards whereby both the sand and the crushed stone could both be used. The matter was referred to the City Manager to see if it met the requirements, and to bring back a report next Thursday.
