475 475 CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Austin will be held by the 21st day of July, 1958, at the Municipal Building, Eighth and Colorado, in Austin, Texas, at 11:00 A.M. for the purpose of discussing a proposed gas contract. Council Chamber, City Hall The meeting was called to order with Mayor Miller presiding. Roll call: Present: Councilmen Long, Palmer, Pearson, White, Mayor Miller Absent: None Present also: W. T. Williams, Jr., City Manager; Doren R. Eskew, City Attorney; D. K. Kinney, Director of Electric Utilities. The Mayor announced that this was a meeting called to discuss a proposed gas contract. Present were MR. E. W. JACKSON, MR. TED WIMBERLY, and MR. JAMES NASH, members of an Advisory Committee appointed by the Council. MR. JOHN PUNDT gave a resume of the developments of his progress up to this time, and asked that the City write a letter of acceptance so that they could proceed. MR. BUCK WINN went into details about the progress. MR. BRINKERHOFF, Consultant, made a geological report. After a long discussion, the Council took under study a proposed letter stating that the City was prepared to execute a contract in keeping with the letter of intent, subject to certain provisions. The Mayor stated the Council wanted to go over this more, and ask the advisory committee to study the letter and maybe make some amendments or some suggestions. There being no further business, the Council adjourned at 2:30 P.M., subject to the call of the Mayor. ATTEST: City Clerk APPROVED Mayor
