Roll call: Present: Councilmen Long, Palmer, White, Mayor Miller Absent: Councilman Pearson Present also: W. T. Williams, Jr., City Manager; Doren R. Eskew, City Attorney The Mayor announced that this meeting was called for the purpose of discussing with the Advisory Committee a proposed gas contract. Present from the Advisory Committee were MR. KARL WAGNER, MR. W. P. WATTS, MR. MARVIN TURNER, MR. G. L. HUCKABY, MR. DAVID BARROW, MR.SPILLAR, MR. TED WIMBERLY. Mayor Miller reviewed the matter of a proposed gas contract for furnishing gas to the Power Plants. Members of the Committee expressed approval of the contract and urged the Council to proceed. The Council authorized the City Manager to proceed to write up the difinitive contract. There being no further business, the Council adjourned at 12:00 Noon, subject to the call of the Mayor.
