The ordinance was read the first time and Councilman Palmer moved that the rule be suspended and the ordinance passed to its second reading. Councilman Pearson submitted the request of MR. WINTFRED GUSTAFSON to lease a 150x300' tract of land on the southeast corner of the Hancock Tract for a minature golf course, and he described the project. The offer was $100.00 a month, on a month-to-month basis. There was to be a little building and equipment which would go on the tax roll. Besides $100.00 a month guarantee there was offered five percent of what they took in over $10,000 a year. The City Manager stated that he had beenttrying to hold this property intact until it was decided what type of development would be on this tract. The Council asked that Mr. Gustafson and the company try to find another location. There being no further business, the Council adjourned at 11:10 A.M., subject to the call of the Mayor.
