794 799 CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN: Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Austin will be held on the 22nd day of September, 1959, at the Municipal Building, Eighth and Colorado, in Austin, Texas, at 3:00 P.M. for the purpose of requesting confirmation of the Missouri Pacific Railroad for right-of-way on each side of their tracks from approximately 5th Street north to Northland Drive. Eskew, City Attorney; Reuben Rountree, Jr., Director of Public Works The Mayor announced that this was a meeting called for the purpose of requesting confirmation of the Missouri Pacific Railroad for right-of-way on each side of their tracks from approximately 5th Street to Northland Drive. Councilman Palmer moved that the City Council formally request from the Missouri Pacific Railroad that they deed to the City of Austin a strip of land on each side of the Missouri Pacific Tracks, of sufficient widths to provide a roadway on each side of their present tracks to provide for a boulevard from approximately 5th Street north to Northland Drive. The motion, seconded by Councilman Bechtol, carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Bechtol, Palmer, White, Mayor Miller Noes: None Absent: Councilman Perry There being no further business, the Council adjourned at 3:30 P.M., subject to the call of the Mayor.
