_ CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS Special Meeting March 21, 1960 10:00 Α.Μ. Council Chamber, City Hall The meeting was called to order with Mayor Miller presiding. Roll call: Present: Councilmen Bechtol, Palmer, Perry, White, Mayor Miller Absent: None MAYOR MILLER announced that this meeting was called for the purpose of receiving and considering bids on a natural gas fuel supply for the City's electrical generating system. He made inquiry if anyone present had not yet turned in their bids, and if all had received the Addendum No. 1. He asked if every bidder had their bonds in. Bids were then received and opened, and the City Manager read the schedules of gas prices from the following companies: TEXAS CENTRAL GAS COMPANY Tulsa, Oklahoma COASTAL STATES GAS PRODUCING COMPANY - Corpus Christi, Texas INTRA-TEX GAS COMPANY, Austin, Texas SOUTHWEST GAS SUPPLY COMPANY, Houston, Texas (2 bids) SOUTHERN UNION GAS COMPANY, Austin, Texas 1 Letters were received from the following, stating they were unable to submit bids: PAN AMERICAN GAS COMPANY (By Gilbert F. Moore, President) Tulsa, Oklahoma Houston, Texas JOHN D. TRILSCH INCORPORATED (By John D. Trilsch) CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS= Bids and supporting papers were turned over to MR. R. M. FALCONER, of the Consulting Firm of MR. RALPH DAVIS, Houston, to evaluate. The Council thanked the bidders, and Councilman Palmer moved that the Council adjourn. The motion, seconded by Councilman White, carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Bechtol, Palmer, Perry, White, Mayor Miller Noes: None There being no further business, the Council adjourned at 11:25 A.Μ. subject to the call of the Mayor.
