CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS Special Meeting June 25, 1962 11:00 Α.Μ. Council Chamber, City Hall 614 The meeting was called to order with Mayor Palmer presiding. Roll call: Present: Councilmen Armstrong, Perry, Shanks, White, Mayor Palmer Absent: None MAYOR PALMER announced this was a Special Meeting called for the purpose of appointing members to the Planning Commission for terms to extend to June 1, 1964. Councilman Shanks moved that the Council appoint the following to serve as members of the Planning Commission for terms extending until June 1, 1964: MR. W. A. WROE MR. EDGAR JACKSON MR. BARTON D. (PAT) RILEY The motion, seconded by Councilman Perry, carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Armstrong, Perry, Shanks, White, Mayor Palmer Noes: None The Council noted with regrets the resignations of MR. FRED BARKLEY and MR. NOBLE DOSS and expressed appreciation for their past services on the Planning Commission. There being no further business, Councilman White moved that the Council adjourn. The motion, seconded by Councilman Shanks, carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Armstrong, Perry, Shanks, White, Mayor Palmer Noes: None ATTEST: CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS 615 The Council adjourned at 11:30 A.M., subject to the call of the Mayor.
