• _ CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF AUSTIN, TEXAS Special Meeting April 28, 1967 COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL The meeting was called to order with Mayor Palmer presiding. Roll Call: Present: Absent: Councilmen LaRue, Long, Shanks, White, Mayor Palmer None Mayor Palmer stated that this was a Special Called Meeting for the purpose of discussing Brackenridge Hospital expansion plans. The meeting was also attended by the Brackenridge advisory board and the incoming City Council. City Manager Williams announced that the US Surgeon General had approved plans and contracts for the first phase of a new Brackenridge Hospital. The Council intended to let the general construction contract to Citadel Construction Company of San Marcos for $2.4 million. ADJOURNMENT After some discussion, the Council adjourned.
